Status of Admissions, Autumn 2012 Semester

 Admissions of autumn 2012 semester were closed on 17-09-2012. Admission forms submitted in banks along with fee are under process by admission department. Incomplete forms have been sent to applicants to remove the objection and resubmit in admission department immediately. Mailing of books is also under process and some students have received their books. Applicants can confirm their admission status on website under the section “Admission Inquiry”

Those applicants who cannot find their admission status on above link, in Admission Confirmation and Objectionable Forms, are advised to wait till First week of December 2012. Hopefully they will receive books or admission will be confirmed on web. Otherwise contact admission directorate after 10th December 2012 by sending admission confirmation “Application Form” through email to: adms@aiou.edu.pk or by post.

Study period for autumn 2012 semester will start by third week of December 2012. Students will receive tutors information before start of study period. Tutor particulars would also be available on website.

Tutors are needed to work for French Online Programme. Department of French Online, AIOU Islamabad, is offering French Online Programme throughout the country. The objectives of this programme are to impart the knowledge of French language through latest multimedia techniques and enable the people to have better chances of jobs and education in Pakistan and in France or in a French speaking country. Candidates interested in conducting the tutorials using innovative teaching strategies, especially Internet, are requested to send their CV with a covering letter. The CV and the letter should be written in French as well as in English. The candidate should have a Master degree (or equivalent) in French and must have a good knowledge of French language, literature and culture. The candidate should be energetic and motivated and ready to travel if required and should be able to handle difficult situations and ready to do challenging tasks. The candidate should also have a good knowledge of computer. After receiving the CV the candidates selected would be required to come to Islamabad for a test and an interview. The selected tutors would then attend a special training workshop.
